records like this dont come very often. thankfully it seems there are still people out there who care enough to create beautiful projects and timeless music. after the ingenious june white label came out last summer, these days records office fell in love with it and without wasting any time rushed to contact the mysterious artist and propose an album. although well-hidden in a secret back-alley of west london where june lives and dreams music, his unique approach on acid house, synth wave, chicago house and 80s nostalgia was too good to be left unnoticed and has been favored by people such as panorama bars steffi, mathematicss owner hieroglyphic being, terre thaemlitz and the clone record store to name but a few. almost half a year after his >alleviation< ep, junes debut album >cytheria< has been realized and features a 12inch sampler with two brand new tracks and two remixes by critically acclaimed dj sprinkles on one of junes older tracks >lost area<. terre thaemlitz aka dj sprinkles, who has been well renowned for his contributions in music and arts in general for the past two decades, delivers an epic remix that takes one to a forgotten musical territory somewhere between early warp records, hacienda, 80s new york club sound and older balearic music. the albums cd version includes 10 new songs and 4 from the artists back catalogue and retains a great balance between dance floor orientated tracks and synth-pop.

two tracks from local l.a. artists / djs santiago salazar and roque (subversive) hernandez that showcase the fundamental aesthetic of the modern classic. a side, izalco, is a deep composition that contrasts the classic sounds of chicago, new york and berlin but reinterpreted to represent the sound of the here and now. b side, retiro, is a brilliant, epic piece that brings to mind the l.a. coastline and its endless horizon -- beauty at its finest.

two previously unreleased jimpster remixes of seal available on this limited white label. the a side side is a raw, detroit tinged mid-tempo jam with seals amazing vocals making this one a solid party starter. flip over for weight of my mistakes which sees jimpster flip things into an epic modern soulful house track laden with real strings, warm rolling bass and tight afro drums. these are his first remixes outside of his freerange label since his mighty remix for josh wink last year.
